- Location: city and approximate area (never precise GPS without consent).
- Media: profile photo and verification selfie.
- Device & usage: device type, IP, app interactions for fraud and safety.
- Payments: handled by certified payment processors; we never store full card numbers.
2. How we use your data
- To curate and recommend matches.
- To verify identity and prevent fake profiles.
- To monitor and investigate abuse reports.
- To improve the service through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
- To send transactional and important safety communications.
3. What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your profile publicly. It stays hidden until a mutual match.
- We do not reveal your contact details without your explicit consent.
4. Limited sharing
We may share minimum-necessary data with:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers under strict contracts.
- Payment processors for transaction completion.
- Law enforcement when legally compelled, or to prevent imminent harm.
5. Data protection
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where applicable.
- Row-level security on our database. Admin access is logged.
- Regular security reviews and dependency scans.
6. Your rights
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: update or fix incorrect information.
- Deletion: delete your account and personal data at any time.
- Portability: export your data in a machine-readable format.
7. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the service or as required by law (e.g. for fraud investigation, tax records, or pending abuse reports). After deletion, residual backups age out within 90 days.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use minimal first-party cookies for sessions and security, plus privacy-respecting analytics. We do not run third-party ad tracking.
