Frontend Engineering Intern (React / Vite / Tailwind)
Build responsive, high-performance web interfaces for BlindlyDate's main client app using React 19, Vite, TanStack Router, and Tailwind CSS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop interactive web components and mobile-first responsive features.
- Integrate WebSockets and Firebase real-time state for instant messaging.
- Optimize web application performance, accessibility, and SEO meta tags.
- Collaborate directly with product leads to ship features weekly.
What we look for:
- Proficiency in React.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and HTML5/CSS3.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Git, and component-driven architecture.
- Understanding of REST APIs, WebSockets, or Firebase is a plus.
- Strong passion for building clean UI/UX micro-interactions.
Backend & Microservices Intern (Node.js / Express / WebSockets)
Work on BlindlyDate's high-concurrency microservices, managing real-time stranger chat queues, image processing pipelines, and Firebase integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Socket.io WebSocket event handlers for low-latency chat.
- Implement media processing and cloud storage interfaces (Sharp, Google Drive API).
- Optimize Firestore database queries and security rules.
- Implement rate-limiting, abuse reporting triggers, and auth token verification.
What we look for:
- Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Basic understanding of WebSockets (Socket.io) and RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with Firebase (Auth / Firestore) or relational/NoSQL databases.
- Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to build scalable backend systems.
UI/UX & Product Design Intern
Design delightful visual experiences, micro-interactions, brand graphics, and landing pages that elevate BlindlyDate's aesthetic standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-fidelity wireframes, UI prototypes, and user flows in Figma.
- Design engaging social media visuals, brand logos, and marketing banners.
- Conduct user research to refine mobile onboarding and profile creation flows.
- Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure design precision.
What we look for:
- Solid portfolio demonstrating UI/UX, web design, or graphic design work.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite, or modern vector tools.
- Good eye for typography, color balance, glassmorphism, and dark mode aesthetics.
- Strong communication and design presentation skills.
Growth & Social Media Marketing Intern
Drive user acquisition, viral Instagram campaigns, campus outreach, and community engagement for BlindlyDate across major Indian cities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create viral short-form videos (Reels/Shorts) about blind dating and relationship culture.
- Manage BlindlyDate's Instagram, LinkedIn, and social media channels.
- Lead campus ambassador drives and university event partnerships.
- Track analytics, SEO content performance, and conversion funnels.
What we look for:
- Active social media presence and understanding of viral trends and memes.
- Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or Canva).
- Creative storytelling abilities and empathy for young adult audiences.
- Self-driven attitude with strong outreach skills.
Safety Operations & Moderation Intern
Ensure community integrity by reviewing selfie verifications, enforcing anti-harassment guidelines, and moderating safety reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fast-turnaround selfie verification reviews in the Admin Portal.
- Investigate user abuse reports and enforce temporary or permanent suspensions.
- Provide empathetic, timely responses to user safety and support tickets.
- Draft safety articles and community guidelines updates.
What we look for:
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Empathetic communication skills and commitment to user safety.
- Ability to handle user queries professionally and calmly.
- Previous community moderation or support experience is a plus.
